I hope everyone reading this had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!

I know I sure did!!!!! Our church put on an amazing Marriage Seminar... It was AWESOME!!!

We learned a few new things, and laughed & learned a lot during our homework~

I think one of the most beautiful sights was seeing not only my most respected Pastor and his beautiful wife in the classes but seeing so many people; young and starting off their married life, and our elders that have been married for the longest time.
They were enriching and protecting what they hold so dear... and it blessed my heart!

I love my husband and I respect him more than he will ever know...
Better yet? He loves me back!!!

Homeschool Valentine's Day Party

So one of my daughters complaints about homeschooling (which are few, thankfully!) is the lack of parties....

Well, I can fix that!!! Why didn't I think of this before?!? Hmmm...

So I got together with my best friend/SIL/Partner in Crime that's also a homeschooling mama and we planned a party...

Nothing too crazy just a few mama friends and their little ones and we had a blast!!!

We had ART!

And Food!

Some of the girls even did a puppet show for the younger ones...

Well, I guess it's easy to see why I haven't heard any more complaints from my big girl... She's too busy making new friends and having fun!!!

Huge thanks to all of the mamas that brought your kids (and yummy snacks) to the party!  <3

Homeschoolers LOVE Valentines!

To start off the Month of Love our Homeschooling Group decided to start a Valentine-Chain-Mail of AWESOMENESS!

The kids either made or bought Valentines, practiced writing their address on the envelopes, learned about mail, sent them off, and in return had a month of hearts and cards mailed back to them from all over the country!!!!! It was so fun!!!

My girls loved it and learned a lot!!!! ~ Even my 4 year old can explain how the mail works...she can even tell you where you can buy stamps! ;)

I love teaching my girls about life all with their academics, but most of all about LOVE!

Baking A Little Love...Along The Journey

So tomorrow is Valentines Day!! One of my girls is off on break right now, but my middle daughter is off to school with some yummy cookies! She attends a preschool for DHOH so I thought some Heart & Hands and ASL~ I Love You cookies would be perfect!!!

So that gave us a fun activity for this afternoon...

So we pounded out the dough...

Then we rolled it out...

Then cut out our cookies...

So I just baked up some variety and put them on a plate... Homemade chocolate chip on the bottom!

So there you go... a little love! I hope the kids love them!!!

While Parts Of My Heart Are Away....

I figured I would make some..

I can't wait to start making some pretty hearts and decorations for Valentines!!
I love the whole month of February! I love the hearts, flowers,  the candy, little love notes, and all of the little things that say I Love You!

This is also a month of art.... sharing little crafts.

Even better....I get to go see my girls this month!!! More to come about that soon!!!!!

When You Get Thirsty On The Journey...

Drink Spa Water!!!! Sooo...I love to drink spa water for the taste and the vitas! It is great for detoxing and while enjoying a soak with some yummy bath salts or having a Spa Party with the girls as a fun Girl's Night In!!

~Spa Water~
  1. Some filtered water
  2. Slice up your choice of veggies & fruit
  3. Add to the water along with some ice
  4. Serve...and enjoy!

Some ideas for fabulous water are cucumbers (a must have for me!), lemon, lime, rosemary, & a sprig of mint!

I also like lemon, orange, lime, and a little garnish of thyme!

Berries (and mint, if you like) are also super yummy and make a great drink for a Valentine's Day!

Just remember that you are making this for yourself and the ones you love so have fun mixing us some great hydration that is just perfect for you!!! As with all pampering goodness, for best results serve it up all pretty in a long stemmed glass!
